The Olympic Torch is on its epic 70-day journey around the UK and will shine a light on some of the most important landmarks in the country. The Flame will be carried by 8,000 Torchbearers as it makes its way across the UK through over 1,018 villages, towns and cities.
Olympics organisers have announced that at least 95 per cent of the population should be within 10 miles of the relay at some point and there will be a number of landmarks the torch passes and alternative modes of transport used
